The specialty of  Gastreghini pastry department are multi-layer sweets, called in the local dialect pizzas, as for savory dishes: in this case it follows one of the most popular recipes in the Marche region, although not of native origin. The first layer of sponge cake, plenty of wet in the red liqueur alchermes, is covered by other two layers: one with custard and the other with hazelnut chocolate. All covered with another layer of sponge cake soaked in the alchermes and, for decoration, a sprinkling of powdered sugar.
